Propane Explosion Destroys Gaithersburg Home, Two Hospitalized – CBS Baltimore

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WJZ) – A propane tank explosion in Gaithersburg wiped out one house and rushed two to the hospital Tuesday morning, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said.

A rescued person has a traumatic injury and was transported to a trauma center by helicopter.

The crews responded to the house in Block 28000 on Laytonsville Road at around 8 a.m., the house had collapsed, and at least one person was trapped and needed to be rescued.

The crews are working to stabilize the house.
