Fallbrook Propane Gas Company seeks junior artists

Junior artist Lorelei Fehl, fourth grade, registers with her piece “Rainbows & Unicorns” for the young talent competition “What Makes Me Happy is …”.

FALLBROOK – The first “Bee Happy” art competition calls on all up-and-coming artists in the community to create a work of art on the subject of “What makes me happy is …”.

The junior art competition is open to pre-kindergarten through eighth graders. Pre-kindergarten to first graders compete against each other, second to fourth graders compete against each other and fifth to eighth graders compete against each other.

Artists can choose their preferred medium. Drawings or paintings cannot be larger than 12 inches in any direction. Further information can be found in the entry rules.

Award winners will receive gift cards: First Place, $ 75; second place, $ 50; and third place, $ 25. An additional $ 75 award will be given by the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce.

Artwork must be submitted to the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce office on Saturday, January 29th, 9:30 am to 1:00 pm at 111 S. Main Ave. to be delivered.

The entries for the “Bee Happy” competition will be exhibited in the Chamber Secretariat. The community will vote from February 4th to 19th. A reception will be held on Thursday, February 24th, at which the winners will be announced and the prizes will be awarded.
